We strive to create a work environment that is committed to the highest standards of business ethics, workplace behavior, and legal compliance. We choose to collaborate with suppliers who share our dedication to ethical business practices and adhere to the provisions of our Supplier Code of Conduct.

As a condition of doing business with Velociterra, we expect our suppliers to honor our company values and our commitment to being a responsible and sustainable corporate citizen in the communities where we operate and from which we source. We aim to develop long-lasting, trusting, and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers who share our values and who demonstrate the same commitment to responsible and ethical business practices. 

This Supplier Code of Conduct is based on internationally recognized standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labor Organization’s Conventions. It consists of the following principles: 


      •   Following legal and ethical business practices
      •   Promoting a safe, respectful, fair, and diverse workplace
      •   Offering safe and compliant products
      •   Protecting the environment

These principles form the foundation of our business operations. By adhering to Velociterra’s Supplier Code of Conduct, we are all positively contributing to society and the environment for current and future generations.

Purpose

The goal of Velociterra’s Supplier Code of Conduct is to establish the business principles, ethical guidelines, and legal expectations that we require our suppliers to comply with. This Code encompasses various principles, including the ethical and integral operation of suppliers, safeguarding our reputation and assets, and respecting and protecting employees.

Suppliers are expected to review and understand this Code of Conduct and ensure their ongoing adherence to its principles. Non-compliance with this Supplier Code of Conduct may result in corrective actions, up to and including termination of the supplier relationship with Velociterra. 

Scope

Our Supplier Code of Conduct pertains to any third party, whether an entity or an individual, that provides services or products to Velociterra. Suppliers include suppliers, consultants, agents, contractors, temporary workers, and other third parties along with their owners, officers, directors, employees, consultants, affiliates, contractors, and subcontractors. 

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the regions where they operate. This includes, but is not limited to, labor laws, environmental regulations, and ethical business practices.

Ethical Business Practices

Suppliers must conduct their business with integrity, honesty, and fairness. Any form of bribery, corruption, or unethical behavior is strictly prohibited.

Labor and Human Rights

Child Labor: Suppliers will not employ individuals under the legal working age.

Forced Labor: Suppliers must not use forced or involuntary labor, including indentured, bonded, or trafficked labor.

Non-Discrimination: Suppliers should provide equal employment opportunities and treat all employees with respect and dignity, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect the right of employees to join or form labor unions and engage in collective bargaining in accordance with local laws.

Health and Safety

Suppliers are responsible for providing a safe and healthy work environment for their employees. This includes implementing safety measures, providing necessary training, and adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.

Environmental Responsibility

Environmental Compliance: Suppliers must comply with all environmental laws and regulations relevant to their operations.

Resource Conservation: Suppliers should strive to minimize their environmental impact by conserving resources and reducing waste, emissions, and pollution.

Sustainable Practices: Suppliers are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices and consider eco-friendly alternatives whenever possible.

Product Quality and Safety

Suppliers must provide products and services that meet agreed-upon quality and safety standards, as well as any applicable industry standards and regulations.

Transparency and Reporting

Suppliers should maintain accurate records and provide information upon request related to their compliance with this Code of Conduct. They should promptly report any violations or concerns to Velociterra’s Compliance Manager.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Suppliers must protect any confidential information or data shared by Velociterra and comply with data protection laws and regulations when handling personal information.

Subcontractors and Supply Chain

Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their subcontractors and supply chain partners also adhere to this Supplier Code of Conduct.

Continuous Improvement

Suppliers are encouraged to continuously improve their practices and seek opportunities to enhance their social and environmental responsibility.
